The costume that will never be finished! Quite literally now. I loved this dupioni and decided to use it even though I knew it wasn't accurate. However, it has faded considerably from what it was originally. So, even if I had the time and inclination to make the oversleeves, they wouldn't match at all. I love having a good excuse to not finish something other than I'm just lazy and have too many projects. =)

This started off with a black velveteen forepart with white trim. However, I decided that looked terrible and changed it to the grey dupioni with white embroidery. I love it because I could use it with another costume. Of course, I would actually have to make another costume it would work with but that is a minor detail.

I conned my mom into dressing up with me before either costume was really done. It worked though and we had a lot of fun. I have since finished the one Mom is wearing and sold it. I would still like to make a green velvet gown with gold for Mom but I'm not sure if how many more times I can con her into doing somewhat crazy things, but I'm going to keep trying. =)

I seriously need to make a new hat. This one got a bit singed in the dryer once so it's crispy velvet now. Plus it's just too big, it needs to be smaller. I would also like to make a new corset and farthingale but that would be helpful for several other costumes as well so that is much more likely to happen. The forepart and sleeves should also get beaded but I can't decide how to bead it yet so that will be waiting for quite awhile if it does ever happen.
